Pure Salon Photo Shoot at Interior Consignments
posted on February 25th, 2010 by Billy Elkins in Model Session
If you haven’t heard of Pure – a salon & boutique or Interior Consignments, you really need to check them both out. Pure, located in south Sarasota, provides innovative hair design, professional nail & waxing services and has unique and inspired gift & clothing items. Interior Consignments (formerly Unlimited Resources) is located in the 1926 Historic Binz Building. Whether you’re looking for that one “special” piece to finish a room or a unique chair, table or complete bedroom suite, Interior Consignments has a fantastic selection of “Pre-Loved” Estate Furniture. This was the location of our photo shoot and provided a variety of backgrounds and textures. A big thank you to the staff of Interior Consignments for allowing us to take over the building all day during business hours. The buzz among patrons was positive and they enjoyed watching as we moved from location to location within the 12,000sqft space. Thank you to the staff of Pure: Nikki, Kim, Heidi, Nicole and Heather for providing the hair, makeup and styling. Also thank you to Tamara for providing snacks, moving furniture and assisting through the day. It was a pleasure to work with all of you and of course our models… Jen, Chelsea, Nicole, Gabe and Casey. Here’s a sneak peak at some of the images from the day.

Christopher's Private Reserve – Pinup Poster

When my friend Lauren, makeup artist extraordinare, asked me about doing this project… I was totally in. I love being able to incorporate my graphic design background and this was one of those times. This was a Christmas present for boyfriend Christopher… who absolutely loved it. I’m curious to see if this will turn into a tattoo design? Thanks Lauren for a fun shoot and project.

Baby Kipton – Newborn Photos
posted on December 14th, 2009 by Billy Elkins in Family Portrait Session
Meet Kipton Joseph Brown! He was born December 10, 2009, to my best friend Charlie and his wife Sarah. We had been “on call” for about a week and got the “call” on Thursday night that their precious little boy was born. It was a hard day or two not being able to meet him in person. When we finally did, you can see why we fell in love with this little guy. It was more than an honor to be able to photograph Kipton, and his parents for their first, of many, photo sessions. Congrats and good luck to the Brown family. We love you guys and look forward to watching Kipton grow up!
