The Binz building is currently occupied by
Unlimited Resource of Sarasota and was the backdrop for Renee’s RR session. Unlimited Resource buys, sells and consigns estate furniture, antiques, and much more. Thank you to Daina and Kathy at Unlimited and thank you to Renee for a great session. Looking forward to the next shoot in this amazing space.

When I was asked to photograph this engagement session, I was excited to hear that it would be vintage-themed. Grace and Curtis, with help from mom Tamara, picked some great places to be photographed and had some fun ideas for each location. We all had a blast during this session as you’ll see in this sneak peak. They will be getting married November 14th at the Church of the Redeemer, followed by the reception at the The Ritz-Carlton Sarasota. Congratulations and thank you so much for a great engagement session!

We were asked to photograph this beautiful family at the beach… to quote Dana, “just hanging out, being together, having fun… nothing posed or artificial.” These are just a few of the moments we captured of them doing just that. Thank you Dana, for asking us to be there and allowing us to photograph you and your family. We hope you love the images.

Gina and Corey are close friends of ours who just got engaged last month. We were there to capture the surprise proposal and we had a blast with their engagement session. The day started off with a huge downpour of rain, but that only made shooting conditions better when it cleared up. Gina and Corey are both naturals in front of the camera and we captured some really great shots.
After shooting, we enjoyed a wonderful dinner and great conversation. They are both excited about the wedding, April 11, 2010, which Alicia will be a bridesmaid and I will be shooting the day with one of my best buds Brian Beecher of See Photography.
Congrats to the both of you and thanks for having us be a part of this whole process. We are both humbled and honored.

What do you get when you have a burlesque dance company and a partially renovated historic building? Great photos! Working with Moxie LeFemme was a blast and this is just a “teaser” of their set from this weekend. Thanks ladies and gent for the opportunity to work with you. Hope you enjoy the shots.

I was asked (again) to shoot and create and the promotional materials for Atomic Holiday Bazaar. Thanks to Adrien Lucas, co-founder of the event and owner of Tuff Betty Bags for trusting me with this for the second year. We created the posters, flyers and postcards for last years event and had great feedback on them and hope to get the same results with this year’s design.
Atomic Holiday Bazaar features affordable, irreverent to elegantly edgy craft for the terminally hip. Be sure to save the dates for – Saturday Evening, December 12, 2009, 6 p.m. – 11:30 p.m and Sunday, December 13, 2009, Noon – 6 p.m. Sarasota Municipal Auditorium.

I have had the pleasure and privilege of shooting both Madison and John for a few years now. Madison was just months old when we did our first shoot. She is growing up so quick and is much more comfortable being photographed than she used to be. I’ve shot John’s high school football games, senior photos, and most recently graduation. But this session was really special. John was accepted to Troy State University and this weekend the whole family made the trip to help him settle into his new place. I love the bond that this big brother has with his little sister. I can’t describe how cute it is to here Madison say “Johnny”… she loves her big brother. Here are a few shots from our session… a picture is truly worth a thousand words. Good luck “Johnny”!

When Christine sent me an email, asking if I’d be interested in shooting her for a casting call to the retro tv show Mad Men, how could I say no? Many of you know Christine and she’d be perfect for, well, just about any walk on role. So we asked our friend Lauren Mitchell who is a fabulous makeup artist to help out. She is MAC trained and is incredibly talented and super fun and easy to work with.
So, how can you help Christine get that walk on role? Click the link: CHRISTINE ALEXANDER and give her 5 stars. Here’s how it works though… You can vote once per day, per computer/IP address. She needs your votes. There is no registering so go VOTE now! Good luck Christine!
Here are a few shots from the session.

Image above is the one she entered.
